Put your ticketing on your own domain
By default, your ticketing page has a Sweescape address. You can serve it on your own address instead, for example tickets.subsol.fr: your buyers stay with you from start to finish, and SEO benefits your domain.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- A subdomain, not the main domain. Use an address such as
tickets.subsol.frorbilletterie.subsol.fr. The main domain on its own (subsol.fr) is refused: DNS rules do not allow the required record there. Your main website therefore stays untouched. - One domain = one event’s ticketing. The domain serves the page of a single event, plus its language versions. It does not cover your whole account: another event needs its own domain, or to take over this one (see Reuse the domain for another event).
- The number of domains depends on your plan. It equals the number of brands included: 1 with the Advanced plan, 5 with the Agency plan. Language versions attached to the same domain do not count. See Your subscription.
- Access to your domain’s DNS. You need to be able to add a record at the provider where you manage your domain (your “registrar”), or ask the person who manages it.
Connect the domain
Section titled “Connect the domain”-
Open the event, Ticket tab. Scroll down to the Your own domain card.
-
In Your domain, type the address you want, for example
tickets.subsol.fr. No need to addhttps://or a path: they are removed automatically. -
In Language, choose the language of this event’s page. It defaults to the language of your dashboard.
-
Click Connect this domain. The message “Domain added. Create the DNS record to activate it.” appears, and the card switches to the Waiting for DNS status.
Create the DNS record
Section titled “Create the DNS record”The Your own domain card shows the record to create:
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| CNAME | billetterie |
ssl.sweescape.com |
The Name is the part of your address that comes before your main domain. Copy the name and value with the copy buttons, to avoid typos.
-
Log in to your registrar’s interface and open the DNS zone of your domain (
subsol.fr). -
Add a record of type CNAME.
-
In the name field (sometimes called “host” or “subdomain”), paste the Name. Some providers ask for the full address,
tickets.subsol.fr. -
In the target field (sometimes “value” or “points to”), paste the Value.
-
Save. If another record already exists for that same name, delete it: a name can only carry one CNAME, and nothing else beside it.
Verify and go live
Section titled “Verify and go live”-
Wait for the record to propagate: this can take up to 24 hours.
-
Come back to the Your own domain card and click Check now.
-
If the record is not visible yet, the message “The DNS record is not visible yet. It can take up to 24 hours to propagate.” appears. Try again later.
-
When everything is ready, the message “Your domain is live.” appears and the status changes to Live. The card then lists the address of each language version, with its language.

The security certificate (the https:// padlock) is created automatically right after the record is detected. The status only changes to Live once both the domain and the certificate are ready.
Your page must also be published. A live domain on a draft page shows the “Ticketing Unavailable” page. See Publish and share the page.
Once the domain is live
Section titled “Once the domain is live”- The Sweescape address redirects to your domain. Links already shared keep working and lead to your domain.
- Only the ticketing lives on this domain. Any other address on this subdomain leads back to the ticketing home page. The pages buyers return to after payment work normally.
- SEO. Sweescape automatically publishes on your domain a
robots.txtfile and a site map (sitemap.xml) listing your language versions. Whether the page shows in Google still depends on each page’s Search engine indexing setting. See Colours, fonts and SEO. - If your subscription stops, visitors to your domain are sent to the page’s Sweescape address: sales continue, without your address. Your domain comes back as soon as the subscription is reactivated.
Add the other languages
Section titled “Add the other languages”If your ticketing exists in several languages (one event per language, see Offer the page in several languages), all the versions can share the same domain.
-
First connect the domain on the event of the main language, as above. It will be served at the root:
https://tickets.subsol.fr. -
Open the event of another language, Ticket tab, Your own domain card.
-
Type exactly the same domain, choose this event’s Language (for example English), then click Connect this domain.
-
This version is served under
/en(or/es,/frdepending on the language). No extra DNS record is needed, and your domain quota is not used up.
Each language can only be used once per domain, and only events from your account can share your domain.
Remove the domain
Section titled “Remove the domain”In the Your own domain card, click Remove. Removal is immediate, with no confirmation.
- If other language versions use the domain, only this event is detached. If it was the version served at the root, the oldest remaining version takes its place.
- If it was the domain’s last event, the domain is disconnected: it no longer serves your page and its slot in your quota is freed. Also delete the CNAME record at your registrar if you do not plan to reuse it.
Reuse the domain for another event
Section titled “Reuse the domain for another event”A domain serves only one event at a time. To sell the next edition on the same address:
-
In the previous event, Your own domain card, click Remove.
-
In the new event, connect the same domain.
-
The CNAME record is already in place at your registrar: click Check now until the status changes to Live.
During the operation, the old page remains reachable at its Sweescape address.
